10 pounds and counting!

I have lost 10 postbaby pounds in the last month. I have done it by cutting calories and trying to walk at least 3 or 4 times a week. I am not a very disciplined person when it comes to food. I love it, love it, LOVE IT. But I have managed to keep the weight off. My goal is to lose 10 more pounds but that would require stepping up the working out and I am not sure I have the time to do that right now. But as far as maintaining my current weight I am doing a pretty good job. Here are a couple of diet must haves that I can't live without....

Calorie King.com- Type in anything and it will give you an estimate of how many calories of whatever you are eating has. It's great. If I am going to eat a chicken philly (which is what I am about to have for lunch) it will help me decide if I should have mayo or hold the mayo.

100 Calorie packs from Nabisco- They are a godsend for weekday evenings when I get a craving for something chocolatey. I especially prefer the oreo thin crisps. My 2 1/2 loves these too and I feel like he's not eating something "too sugary."

Wendys- God bless that little redhead with the dorky braids. Their baked potato (with no margarine) and small chili is the best and cheapest Tuesday night dinner that I could ask for. Especially when you pour the chili into the baked potato.... yum....

Personalized Necklaces

My husband actually got me the sweetest gift this year for Mother's Day. (Of course I picked it out ahead of time and had my BF tell him and order it for him but still.. he did pay for it)

This is the necklace that I received from Bluenile.com with my two son's initials engraved on it. It's super cute and I have been wearing it every day since Mother's day. My BF thinks it's the most boring necklace that she's ever seen but I think it's great.

Redenvelope.com also has a couple of cute personalized necklaces. There are even a couple of gold ones for all of you gold wearing gals.

And of course you can never go wrong with my favorite jewelry store Tiffany and Co. They offer a pendant similar to the one that I received but they can only engrave one line on each pendant. Which sucks if you have more than one kid. I guess you can get one pendant for each kid but I don't have that kind of cash these days!

Best 5 recipe meals

Who the hell has time or money to make a recipe with more than 5 ingredients? I am including my favorite meals below. They are easy, quick and my husband actually enjoys them. Please feel free to post your favorite 5 ingredient (or less) meals as well!

Apple Butter Pork Chops
4 bone in pork chops
4 table spoons of apple butter
1 tablespoon of diced onion
salt and pepper

Salt and pepper pork chops. Fry in pan until brown. Spoon apple butter mixture over top and diced onions. Cook until apple butter starts to bubble.

Extra yummy served with sweet potatoes !

Italian Sausage and Potatoes
1 pound of italian sausage (cut up-please take the yucky skin off- some people actually leave that on?)
5 red potatoes
1 onion
1 green peper
1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Throw everything into a casserole dish, mix everything in the olive oil and add pepper to taste. I prefer white pepper in everything. It is delicious. Cook for at least 45 minutes at 350.
